Zdenek Plachý - Director of Sklenena louka (1961)

From mid 80`s active as a composer, together with Ivo Medek founder of orchestra of contemporary music - Art Incognito and from 1987 played synthesizer in alternative rock band DUNAJ. He composed many incidental music for theater plays and TV productions. From beginning of 90`s he works as theater, opera, radio and TV director. He is one of the founder of the Center of contemporary art Skklenena and form it`s beginning he is the director of the center and editor of the music magazine which the center was publishing - The Silence.

One of typical points of his work is directing large groups of people - as for example in his outdoor projects Cross field mass (1994), Sunset in a stone pit (1995), Bar less hard-beets (1997 - including 40 piece army orchestra).

For Czech state TV directed several documentaries and quasi documentary pictures - Brno`s Indians (1996), The Artists for the NATO (1998), Guarded Parnassus - investigative paradocumentary (1999).

Together with Jiri Simacek founded an art group Guarded Parnassus. Under the title Guarded Parnassus he writes with Simacek several theater plays with were staged in different theaters around Czech republic and he was directing all of them: The Uncomfortable Indian - a soap western for a new man (2002), Unbezahlbare Arien (2002), The Phantom or the Bloody Opera (2005), The Magic Flute (2006).

He directed also theater plays of Bulgakov (Moliere, 2003), Shneider Trnavsky (Bellarosa, 2000) and Verdi`s opera The Power Of a Fate (2003).
